Welcome to the start of our series of articles on using VPN on Kodi. Firstly, I will try to give you a general idea about what should you expect from these applications, and when it’s necessary to use one. In further guides, we will explore what options you have in order to implement VPN features on your Kodi HTPC, as well as if it can be implemented via addons.
For sometime now, most people that is trying to go into IPTV world keep getting confused about kodi, and some other free applications that shows live matches just like the paid iptv servers. Now, i will be brief but straight to the point why you shouldn’t be scared of going into iptv because of the huge subscription amount after managing to get one of this multimedia internet streaming devices.
To me, i have yet to see a huge difference between paid iptv account and all this free soccer applications popularly used on our mobile to watch live events. This is how it goes. Paid iptv accounts has no disturbances. What i meant by this is, there are not ads displaying on the screen whenever you want to watch any live program. The money being collected from you is used to maintain and pay for the server they host the channels on. Now the free applications, most times, we even have more channels than the premium account. The reason the ads are displaying on the free apps is just because, if you click on any of those ads, they would be get paid, and that money they received from advertisers would be used to maintain their servers being used to host the channels we watch. If you could noticed, it’s only on all this free apps you get manu tv, chelsea tv, liverpool tv, etc etc…
In order to watch popular broadcasting channels using Kodi including iTV, BBC, Fox, Channel 7, 4oD, HBO, ESPN, and hundreds of other international channels (usually geo-restricted) establish the need for a Kodi VPN.
XBMC VPN are the safest option to bypass geo-restriction barriers from streaming channels on Kodi. Although you might be able to access many of the TV channels for free, all US and most UK-based streaming channels (especially live TV) like ESPN and BBC Sport will be blocked, displaying the following message:
So, just how do you get rid of these geo-restrictions?
A Kodi VPN will enable you to evade all geo-restrictions and enjoy unlimited geo-restricted services on Kodi. It will mask your IP address with a foreign IP of your choice (USA, UK, Canada etc.), where the particular channel is available.
You will be able to enjoy restriction-free access to your favorite channels from anywhere in the world. User reviews and Kodi fans suggest deploying the best VPN services for Kodi due to their streaming optimized and P2P supported servers, for high-speed video & music streaming.
Now this is where kodi comes in. Kodi is a free source. Now most of this addon often get blocked by the kodi community and also there is however a geo-restriction barrier users face upon accessing various channels on the kodi platform.
Have you installed an add-on and when you want to watch any channel and you came across this?
To instantly bypass the restrictions and watch unlimited blocked content on Kodi addons, you can use any KODI VPN services available out there. Both paid and free. With a range of top-tier servers located in major parts of the world, the Kodi VPNs provide blazing fast streaming, uninterrupted connection and unmatched entertainment experience.
How do I know if I need a VPN on Kodi?
VPN on Kodi serves mainly two purposes: helps you access geoblocked content, as we said earlier; and also protects your online identity, in case you are concerned about it. It is suggested to use VPN mainly with services such as torrents or Usenet, because these services involve being connected with many computers, and thus might pose a security risk. However, in these cases, it would be better to enable a VPN on your whole system, and not just for Kodi. Interestingly, as there are Kodi movies addons, Kodi live TV addons and other plugins that enable you to enhance your Kodi features, there are some addons that only install Kodi VPN. A VPN addon for Kodi is specially useful, for example, on systems where Kodi is the only app running, such as iterations of VPN services for OpenELEC that are commercially available. The only problem is, that most of these services are paid, and the free ones come out as untrustworthy or, at least, concerning, regarding their level of safety. This makes it important to search for the best VPN for Kodi, to keep your information and system safe.
